Viewpath’s advanced online Gantt charting has been selected as a featured Google Apps partner. Viewpath’s new Gantt Gadget integrates a subset of Viewpath’s 2.0 application code with the Google Apps API to dynamically generate a rich visualization of schedule data in Google Spreadsheets.

Now individuals and dispersed collaborative teams can leverage the power of Viewpath's AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) framework to display an interactive project schedule in a basic Gantt chart format within Google Spreadsheets.

In just a few clicks, Viewpath makes it easy to create a Gantt chart by providing customization options to specify spreadsheet data for Task Name, Start Date, Finish Date, and Percentage Complete. Viewpath dynamically displays task schedules using the duration between Start Dates and Finish Dates, and graphically tracks the completion percentage on each task. There is also an option to visually indicate the dependencies links of Predecessor tasks within a simple Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Easily accessible controls let users quickly adjust the timescale of Gantt chart to view a project schedule in Days, Weeks, Months or Quarters.

With Google's collaborative permissions (built in the Gadget framework) it's simple to control who can read or edit task schedules in the Google Spreadsheet. Users have the option of sharing status updates with others by publishing Viewpath’s integrated Gantt chart as a Gadget in iGoogle or any other webpage that accommodates iFrames.
